Autumn is a great time for night fishing in St. Pete! Water visibility is very good in the autumn months and migrating schools of bait fish are entering Tampa Bay and attracting big redfish, snook and other species we love to catch. We’re sight casting for fish with underwater lights and around dock lights in residential canals where we can cast directly on them. Night fishing is a great way to target monster Snook and Redfish!

You’ll fish the grassy flats and mangroves of the extensive Tampa Bay estuary for the Southeast’s favorite inshore catches including Redfish, Flounder, Black Drum, Spanish Mackerel and Spotted Sea Trout (Speckled Trout).

We’ll bottom fish the reefs and shipping channels of Tampa Bay in up to 50 feet of water for bottom dwelling saltwater species such as Red Grouper, Gag Grouper, Mangrove Snapper and Lane Snapper. Tampa Bay is also home to King Mackerel, Jack Crevalle and even TripleTails!
An Inshore Reef Fishing Charter is a great way to experience true saltwater coastal fishing but in calmer waters than fishing offshore.

Our Boat
Captain Dmitri’s fishing boat is a new 2024 25′ C-Hawk with a new Honda 250 HP engine. Whether we’re backcountry fishing the shallow grass flats, fishing the deeper waters of Tampa Bay or bottom fishing the near shore reefs, Captain Dmitri’s C-Hawk is perfectly suited to the diverse fishing grounds around Tampa Bay.
