No, Captain Dmitri’s fishing license covers everyone on the boat.
When you go on a charter with Bay Reef Fishing Charters, everything you need to fish is included:
fishing licenses
fishing tackle and equipment
live bait
ice for both your catch and to keep your drinks cold
professional fish cleaning
Sun protection is recommended including hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, fishing shirts. Bring drinks to stay hydrated, and snacks.
You are welcome to bring your own fishing gear if you’d like. Provided is the highest quality gear and equipment.
Yes, as long as the fish is legal to keep. Fishing in Florida is highly regulated and each fish has a season, size limit, and bag limit. Captain Dmitri will advise which fish are legal to keep.
Captain Dmitri will professionally filet your catch and bag and ice it. There are several local restaurants we recommend that will cook your catch.
Yes. Do not get belligerent. No Glass. Illegal substances are not allowed on our charter boat.

This is your trip and we can start any time. Time of day can absolutely affect the fishing bite. Fish bite all different times of the day, for example sometimes afternoon and night trips are best for what we are targeting. Generally, the time slots are 8am, 1pm, 5:30pm, 8pm.
For sportfishing mangroves in the summer it is recommended to start early 7:00am to beat the heat, once the water warms up the bite shuts off. Factors that can affect fishing are tides, current, wind, water temperature, atmospheric pressure. Captain Dmitri will recommend a time.
For cancellations contact Captain Dmitri 361-557-0179. Cancellations must be made within 24 hours.
Captain Dmitri wants you to have the best fishing experience, with safety as the highest priority.
If adverse weather is expected, your deposit will be refunded, and we cancel or reschedule the trip.
Captain Dmitri works hard to create the highest quality experience for you. It is customary to tip 20% of the charter if you had a great time!
